Magic Halloween Decor

Last week, I got this note and these photos from one of my Etsy customers, who had purchased my Little Winged Witches download:

Here are some photos of the wall hangings and large magnet that I made. Thank you for the adorable images! My girls and I had a great time making them.

I was thrilled, of course, and asked Michele for more information about her girls, and if it would be all right to share the photos with you all.  Here’s her answer:

I am glad that you like them! My girls are 8 and 5, and love doing anything crafty. I do not have a store or blog, I just make crafts for fun and use in our home. Most times I have no idea what I am doing, I pretty much just wing it. Sometimes it works and others times I have to start over. I have never taken a class or read a book on crafting. I really am just a beginner who has learned by trial and error. ~Michele

I love their work, and I especially love that this Mom is so encouraging of her children’s creativity.  Thanks again for sharing, Michelle!  The Dog and I both love what you three have made!

New Old Labels

If you’ve read much of this blog, you’ll remember my fascination with typography and especially, old time  advertising typography.  I have such admiration for the craftsmanship and artistry I see in the work from the 1800’s and early 1900’s.  And they did it all without Photoshop!
Here are some new designs, based on that old advertising art.

There are eight different designs in this set, and you can see all of them in my Etsy Shop.
I think they would make a wonderful Pantry or Kitchen display, printed and pasted onto boxes or jars.  It could also be fun to use them framed and hung as a group, or propped on a shelf or in a cabinet.  I hope you like them.
Happy Thursday, from the Dog and me.

To Make your Monday Brighter

It’s always tough getting another week going.  Our weather is now definitely the Fall variety, with colder temps creeping along, especially at night.  Makes me want to stay in my nice warm bed, but the farm chores and the Dogs have other plans for me.

Here’s something I hope will bring a smile for the start of your week.
