Weekly Inspiration

Time for another poke in the imagination and creativity department. Click on the images to enlarge them, then save to your computer.  I'd love to see what you're making, with the weekly images or with anything from Digital Antiques, so share a link if you can.

Wouldn't this make a terrific label for a journal, or imagine it as a gift tag.  It's from a Vintage book of Persian Fairy Tales.

Isn't this absolutely precious?   Maud Humphrey is one of my favorite illustrators, and the expression on Little Red's face is priceless!  I've left the signature and the date in place, just because I find them charming.  And the typography  just makes me swoon.

This one has everything, including wonderful colors, amazing hats, and the smallest waists ever seen.  Challenging fashions, to say the least.

I hope you enjoy these,  and I encourage you to visit Digital Antiques if you're looking for more images.

Have a great week, from the Dog and me.

Would you like Pixels and IceCream with that?

Pixels and IceCream is a wonderful resource I want to share with all of you who love digital graphics. This very talented designer shares her work, and offers an amazing amount of free designs.  Take a look at this latest gift, free to download:

You could use this selection of handwriting and printer's ornaments in all kinds of altered art, collage, or digital scrapbooking.  If you work in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, this comes as a set of brushes, but a full file of images in .jpg or .png is also included in the download, along with a set of vector images as well.  You can download it here - Pixels and IceCream.  Be sure to take some time and check out all the other free downloads on the blog.  Lots of fun is to be had there.  Remember to leave a note of thanks too, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Happy creating from the Dog and me.

Weekly Inspiration

Inspiration can be something elusive,  but one of the surest ways for me to find a spark of creativity is looking at images.  Vintage, contemporary, black and white or full color, I can usually find something that gets my imagination moving.  With that in mind, I thought I might begin offering a weekly series of images, from my collection, for you to use in your art.  Just click on the image to enlarge, then save to your computer, and start creating.  I'll be sharing images with you each Tuesday. I'd love to see what you create with these!

I have been busy creating new items for Digital Antiques, too.  You can see all the new work at Etsy or ArtFire, but here are a few samples to pique your curiosity.

This tag is from a set of 8 designs, called "Sweet and Sentimental", and they come in 2 sizes, as a digital download.  Lots of possibilities for using these, including birthdays, anniversaries and gifts.  See the whole set here, "Sweet and Sentimental".

Here's a sample of the new "Elegant Equestrians" set.  Could she be more regal?  There are 8 designs, ready to download, see them all here, "Elegant Equestrians".

Have terrific, creative day, from the Dog and me.
